I want to take a minute to discuss hospice awareness and how important it is to to get the word out so that people are aware of the services that hospice provides.
When I lost my father, I did not know about hospice care and both my father and our family suffered. He was in great pain in the hospital, and I was frightened and at a loss as to what to do to help him.
Losing my father was a heart wrenching event - but the fear and lack of loving care was horrifying. Soon after his death, I learned about hospice and became a volunteer. I am so thankful to help provide comfort for people with terminal illness and their families. It is truly all about the quality of our loving and caring connection to eachother that helps during a time of great loss.
Thankyou,
Carol
